In the beginning of year 2018,the OnePlus 6 was described as a “big step closer to the perfect smartphone,” even if it was missing wireless charging and a microSD slot.

Availability:-

OnePlus 6 is currently available in five variants in the Indian market which also includes the silky white and Avengers special edition. However, OnePlus has unveiled an all new colour Red for the device. The company had released teasers with the hashtag #TheRedYouNeed for the new variant and announced July 2 as the date of launch. The company unveiled the Red variant of the OnePlus 6 on its Indian twitter handle. There are no details about the availability of the new variant but the company will be start selling the red variant in other global markets from next week. Indian fans can expect a similar launch time. We are expecting that the company will release more information on the official availability of the new variant later.

 CEO Pete Lau announced the device on the OnePlus forum, saying that the style exudes ” enthusiasm and personality ” as well as ” inner confidence and courage.”

• It comes with an all-glass design protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and “daily water resistance“.

CAMERA:-

• f/1.7 aperture and the secondary 20MP Sony IMX376K sensor too has the same aperture. The pixel size has also been increased in the primary sensor by 0.10um, which hardly makes any difference to your resulting shots. Nonetheless, the camera is quick to capture moving subjects with good amount of sharpness and clarity.
• Some credit of this also goes to the company’s Smart Capture technology that digitally sharpens the image. The software feature suggests the best mode to click a sharp image based on the environment in which it is being clicked.
• Although we didn’t really see a drastic difference in daylight shots in general, some of the night shots actually came out good. The low aperture and the slightly larger pixel size work in tandem to deliver some of the best low-light shots according to us. The resulting images, unlike seen in some of the smartphones in the given price segment, are sharp and not smooth in order to hide the noise. But if you do want the best camera performance, this might not be the preferred one as smartphones like Galaxy S9+, Google Pixel 2 and even the Huawei P20 Pro do a better job. However, the price tag makes OnePlus 6 a good proposition.

• The front panel is a 6.28-inch full Optic AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, offering 84 per cent screen to body ratio.
• It comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with Adreno 630 GPU.
• What makes OnePlus 6 a delight to use is the OxygenOS. The handset has Android 8.1 Oreo-based 5.1.3, which is as new as it gets and has all the features one would expect from the latest flagship.
• It claims that the 16-megapixel main camera has a 19 per cent larger sensor with Optical Image stabilization and Electronic Image stabilization for better low-light photography and stable videos.
• The company introduced a bokeh mode in the camera app in an update after the launch.
• The phone supports 4K video in up to 60 frames per second and “super-slow-motion” mode for capturing high-definition video at up to 480 fps.
• It is 7.75mm thick and weighs in at 177 grams. Initially the device will be available in two colours – mirror black, midnight black and later OnePlus will launch a limited edition silk white colour.
• For those coming from different UIs, the OxygenOS might be a pleasant surprise as it is fast, customisable to some extent and near stock Android by design. In case you missed it, you can even run Android P beta version on OnePlus 6.
• For connectivity, the device has a dual SIM port with support for two nano SIM cards on LTE network. Other connectivity options include NFC, Type C, audio support via USB and Bluetooth 5.0.
• It also has a fingerprint scanner at the rear which is in a rectangular shape this time.

• As for Dash Charging, the technology is one of the major plus points of the smartphone. It even works while the smartphone is in Gaming Mode as all the heating up takes place in the adapter instead of the phone.
• Two other key features Oneplus is touting are the new Gaming Mode and new navigation gestures. The Gaming mode, which until OnePlus 5T was known as the Gaming DND Mode, has been improved as it automatically lowers the amount of data for other apps and throttles the data assigned for the game being played.

Upcoming launching by OnePlus in  2019:-

Coming to what’s in store for next year, the OnePlus 7 might come with 5G connectivity. Talking at Mobile World Congress in Shanghai, OnePlus chief Pete Lau said that the company is exploring its partnership with Qualcomm to develop one of the first 5G phones. OnePlus is also looking into carrier deals in the United States to expand its reach in one of the most important markets in the world.
